New "I- Beam" Billet Heat Treated Chromoly Steel Roller Rocker arms
We have taken an aggressive approach in redesigning of the conventional shaft mount Big block Roller rocker arms, it has been designed to be an upgrade replacement for all big block shaft mount rocker arms being used in todays High Performance Market .We have incorporated many pieces of hardware that have proven their durability in the Blown Alcohol and Top Fuel industry for more than 10 year!
The rocker arm body incorporates and I-Beam Design which strengthens and stiffens the part, minimizing deflection. The "I-Beam" rocker design is not a new idea , in fact it is far from it. No one can claim to have the Original I-Beam rocker arm. if we look back in history we will realize that the original Chrysler early Hemi Rocker arm was in fact an I-Beam. Many other rocker arms designed back as 1918 were I-Beam. With that said , it is the preferred design theory when it comes to structural strength and stiffness. That is true whether we are designing a building or a Rocker arm.
In Addition, Changes have been made in areas to improve the overall performance of the Valve train. We have converted the adjusting screw from the standard cup style adjuster to a 3/8 Ball adjusting screw , which in our engineering opinion is a much better option. This is the same adjusting screw that we have proven to endure valve train speeds up to 12,000RPM & spring pressures in excess of 1500LBs. We have eliminated the worry of needle bearing failure and removed the harmonic frequencies being emitted by the bearing. This have been done by replacing the needle bearings with high load capacity bronze bushings, precision cnc machined from the same bushing material we use in our Blown Alcohol and Top fuel rocker arms( 30,000 PSI of cylinder pressure). We have designed the rocker arm with pressure fed oil from the pushrod feeding the bushings. We will also offer a nose roller for an additional cost. We are able to even add the Oiling option to your standard rocker arm bodies if you decide you want this option later.
